An Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the daily management of the food and beverage outlets, ensuring that the highest standards of food and beverage service are provided to the guests.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing and maintaining control measures to keep food and beverage costs, productivity, labour costs and operating supply costs within budget.
- Carrying out Duty Management shifts.
- Participating in departmental meetings to review progress towards business plan goals.
- Planning, organizing and directing the overall food and beverage operation, administration, marketing and promotion.
- Preparing weekly and monthly forecasts for restaurant, bar and room service.
- Ensuring clear communication with the Food and Beverage Manager, Head Chef, Conference and Events Manager and Operations Manager.
- Assisting with wellness activities and health & safety procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong leadership with interpersonal and training skills.
- Excellent communication skills, service-oriented with an eye for detail.
- Team player and motivator.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Experience managing costs and forecasting in a hospitality setting.
- Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and 7 days a week.
