At Medlock, first impressions matter-but it's the precision behind the scenes that makes them possible. As a Goods In Controller, you'll ensure everything that arrives is handled efficiently, accurately and with care, keeping our operations running smoothly from the moment stock enters the building. This role is about more than checking deliveries-it's about organisation, accountability and attention to detail. You'll take pride in managing incoming goods, verifying orders, and ensuring everything is recorded and stored correctly. Working independently and as part of a wider team, you'll help maintain a well-structured, reliable supply flow that supports every department. Your behind-the-scenes contribution sets the tone for the day ahead, supporting a seamless guest experience from the very first step through the door.

This brand-new 401-key hotel is set to be a game-changer in hospitality, seamlessly integrating with one of the most prestigious entertainment and sporting destinations globally. The next evolution of the Etihad Campus will see it become a thriving sports and entertainment district, featuring state-of-the-art training facilities, a world-class 60,000 seater stadium, and vibrant leisure spaces including the Co-op Live arena. It will become a world-class hub for elite sport, music, and entertainment, attracting visitors from around the world.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll take ownership of all incoming deliveries, managing goods-in processes with care, consistency and strong attention to detail.
  • While operations continue around you, you'll work in a calm, efficient manner to ensure all stock is received, checked and stored correctly-meeting, and often exceeding, our standards.
  • Working both independently and alongside the wider team, you'll bring a dependable, positive approach, stepping in where needed to keep goods moving seamlessly through the operation.
  • You'll follow all safety, handling and security procedures, using equipment and systems responsibly and with confidence.
  • No two days are the same. You'll balance scheduled deliveries with unexpected arrivals, staying organised, proactive and one step ahead.
  • Your role is key in maintaining accuracy and flow, ensuring the right goods are in the right place at the right time.
  • You'll be a vital ambassador for Medlock, bringing our standards to life through the precision you apply, the details you manage and the consistency you deliver-often behind the scenes, but always making an impact.

Our operation runs year-round, and so does the work that supports it. We operate 365 days a year, with shift patterns designed to reflect the needs of the business. Specific hours and working arrangements can be discussed at interview.

About you:

  • Warm, welcoming and naturally genuine in the way you care for guests and colleagues.
  • Confident under pressure, with a steady presence and a touch of individuality that makes you memorable.
  • An effective communicator, grounded and connected to the city you're helping shape.
  • Experienced in a fast-paced hotel operation, ideally within a premium, lifestyle or high energy environment.
