We are seeking a hardworking and dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen. You will work closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to ensure the smooth running of operations. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks including dishwashing, cleaning equipment and utensils, and maintaining a tidy and sanitary kitchen environment. You will also assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing, mopping, and wiping surfaces
  • Assist with the preparation of ingredients and support the chefs during food preparation
  • Handle and store food in accordance with safety and hygiene regulations
  • Maintain the inventory of kitchen supplies and inform the management team when items are low in stock
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure that food is prepared and delivered promptly and according to standards
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
  • Dispose of waste properly and recycle whenever possible

We are open 7 days a week 365 days a year and need people to work a range of shifts and days - this means great flexibility if required. We are busier generally during evenings and weekends but shift patterns and contracted hours can all be discussed at interview.
