Let's be straight with you - this isn't your average Holiday Inn. Yes, it's got the brand. But Holiday Inn Peterborough West is a seriously substantial operation. We're talking 13 conference and meeting rooms, (the Buckingham Suite that seats 450 theatre-style or 350 for a banquet dinner - we have four wedding suites, and an events calendar that keeps this hotel buzzing long after the last guest checks out) as well as a leisure club with over 1000 members. Set in its own landscaped grounds, just off the A1(M) and 48 minutes from London by train - this place is a destination, not just an overnight stop.

We're looking for a General Manager who gets that. Someone who doesn't just run a hotel - they lead it. So, what's the role? You'll be the heartbeat of the hotel. Commercial performance, guest experience, team culture, C&B revenue - it all lands with you. You'll work closely with a supportive Valor regional team who are genuinely invested in your success, but day-to-day, you're the one driving it forward. This is a full-service, high-volume property. Conference and banqueting isn't a side offering here - it's a core revenue stream, and we need a GM who knows how to maximise it.

Who are we looking for? Someone with proven GM experience in a branded, full-service hotel. Ideally you've managed a significant C&B operation before and you know your way around a P&L. But just as importantly, you're a people person - the kind of leader your team rally behind, and guests remember. At Valor, we talk about being Hotelitarians - people who genuinely love what they do, take initiative, and aren't afraid to do things differently. If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

What you'll get from us:

  • Valor was named one of the Sunday Times Top 10 Best Places to Work in the UK in 2026 (three years running) and we don't take that lightly.
  • You'll get a competitive salary, a real support network, and the freedom to lead your hotel your way within a company that's growing fast across the UK and beyond.
  • Exclusive discounts for you, your friends and family.
  • Valor team member rates at our UK hotels, with rooms from just 30 Bed and Breakfast.
  • Discounted stays for friends and family.
  • 50% discount when dining in our restaurants and bars.
  • Free meals while on duty, keeping you well-fuelled.
  • Access to high-street discounts on a range of shops, experiences and more.
  • Up to 40% savings on a wide range of bikes, with our Cycle To Work Scheme.
  • Generous refer-a-friend bonuses, starting at 250.
  • Caring for your health and wellbeing, both in and outside of work.
  • A calendar of wellness activities - from healthy lunches to wellbeing walks and pay day treats, not forgetting our annual HealthyHabits campaign.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme, providing free confidential advice, 24/7, for you and your family, supporting physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
  • Healthcare Cash Plan options, from just 5 per month.
  • Supporting your hospitality career growth.
  • Fully funded apprenticeship programmes.
  • Internal development programmes, designed to support you as you grow within your role.
  • Monthly and annual team member service awards, making sure your achievements are recognised and celebrated.

Fancy joining our team? We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
