The Role
As our Senior Finance Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality, accurate, and timely financial information is delivered across our hotels. You will lead and mentor Finance Assistants, standardize practices, and partner with hotel teams to ensure robust financial controls and insightful reporting.
What You'll Do
- Leadership: Set the standard for Finance Assistants, train, audit, and develop their skills while implementing best practices across the region.
- Financial Oversight: Ensure compliance with company policies, audit internal processes, and provide accurate financial reports.
- Reporting and Analysis: Assist management accountants with data for forecasting and budgeting while maintaining oversight of VAT reconciliations, KPIs, and ledger reviews.
- Support and Control: Help hotel teams improve financial controls and step in to cover gaps during periods of high turnover or absence.
- Process Improvement: Champion innovation in finance, implementing systems for remote task management and ensuring accuracy in financial processes.
What We're Looking For
- Education: A-level or equivalent.
- Experience: Hospitality industry experience preferred but not essential.
- Skills: Effective communication and team leadership. Strong financial reporting and analysis capabilities. Proficiency with financial systems like SUN, Opera, Brilliant, OnQ, and EPSYS.
