Overview
Guest Services Manager – AC Hotel by Marriott Birmingham at Valor Hospitality Careers UK. 40 hours per week with competitive salary. You will lead the Reception and F&B teams to deliver exceptional service across the guest journey, from a warm welcome at check-in to a well-presented breakfast, setting the standard, empowering your team, and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.
What you’ll be doing
- Reception: Lead the Reception team day-to-day, ensuring smooth, efficient, and personalised service; be the main point of contact for guests, anticipate needs, and coordinate with departments to deliver memorable experiences; drive Marriott Bonvoy enrolment and share membership benefits; monitor guest feedback and surveys and respond quickly and constructively.
- F&B & Kitchen Operations: Oversee daily breakfast and bar operations, ensure compliance with brand standards; maintain fresh, safe, and inviting buffet and bar service with attention to food safety and hygiene; assist with ordering supplies and manage stock; support the team on the floor during peak times.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a motivated, guest-focused team; conduct inductions, reviews, and regular meetings to align with KPIs; coach individuals to grow and succeed; prepare rotas balancing operational coverage with development opportunities; support with employee relations, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
- Duty Manager responsibilities: Support the senior leadership team and step in as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
