Duties and responsibilities

• Perform assembly and welding operations according to drawings and established tolerances
• Communicate with forklift operator for supply needs;
• Calibrate the welding device
• Assemble and weld parts according to drawings and templates
• Sand welded parts
• Inspect the quality of welded parts
• Use a positioner, overhead crane, or jib crane to move parts
• Help support the activities of other departments
• Compressed schedule to take advantage of Friday afternoons off
• Up to 5 weeks of vacation per year, including 3 weeks of vacation upon being hired

Your profile

• Be able to read drawings
• Be familiar with welding symbols
• Be precise and meticulous
• Have a good reasoning

Qualifications

• Diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in welding and assembly (completed or in progress)
• 1 to 2 years of experience in welding or a similar position
• Overhead crane operator card
• MIG steel experience (asset)
