Welding and Assembly Technician

Perform assembly and welding operations according to drawings and established tolerances.

Communicate with forklift operator for supply needs.

Calibrate the welding device.

Assemble and weld parts according to drawings and templates.

Sand welded parts.

Inspect the quality of welded parts.

Use a positioner, overhead crane, or jib crane to move parts.

Help support the activities of other departments.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in welding and assembly (completed or in progress).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in welding or a similar position.
  • Overhead crane operator card.
  • MIG steel experience (asset).
