What you’ll be doing:
- Setting up and operating CNC machines for drilling, grinding, and milling.
- Translating instructions into computer commands to keep machines running smoothly.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
- Read drawings to understand task specifications and the desired outcome.
- Translate instructions into computer commands so that machines perform correct function.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines.
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare against requirements to validate the process.
- Perform all other related tasks as required.
Compressed schedule to enjoy Fridays off (Monday to Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 1:36 a.m.).
Work 37.6 hours and be paid for 40 hours.
Up to 5 weeks of vacation per year, including 3 weeks of vacation upon being hired.
Demonstrate autonomy and resourcefulness.
Be meticulous.
Be able to operate CNC machines and tools as well as precision measurement tools.
Be able to read and interpret documents and mechanical drawings.
Have a good mechanical aptitude and math skills.
Be extremely detail- and results-oriented.
Qualifications:
- Diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in machining techniques.
- 0 to 3 years of experience.
- CNC experience (asset).
