Valmet is looking for an Application Engineer.

The Application Engineer provides technical support for electrical, controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid systems used in paper machine equipment.

This role works closely with customers, sales, product management, and operations to develop solutions, prepare quotations, and support successful project execution.

Provide technical expertise to customers and sales teams.

Develop technical and commercial quotations.

Respond to customer and sales inquiries regarding products and applications.

Configure and recommend solutions based on customer requirements and system specifications.

Support order execution and resolve technical issues affecting customer orders.

Collaborate with product management, engineering, service, and operations to ensure solutions meet customer needs.

Support customer visits, site evaluations, and technical presentations.

What you’ll need: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.2-5 years of experience in application engineering, industrial controls, automation, fluid systems, or paper machine equipment.

Knowledge of PLCs, drives, instrumentation, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and industrial process equipment preferred.

Strong technical, problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills.
