Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior GCP Cloud Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join a large-scale Public Cloud Platform within a regulated enterprise environment. This role has a strong focus on GCP Networking at enterprise scale, combined with Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps practices. You will work on both production and non-production environments, supporting platform stability, scalability, and secure cloud adoption across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands‑on engineering across GCP Cloud Networking at enterprise scale
- Design, build, configure, and optimise GCP network architectures
- Work on major networking initiatives including:
- Network deployment & implementation
- Network scaling & optimisation
- Sustaining engineering & technology refresh
In‑Scope Technologies & Experience
- GCP Networking (Must‑Have): Dedicated Interconnect, VPC Network Peering, Cloud Routers, Firewalls, Cloud NAT, Google DNS, IAM, VPC Service Controls (VPC SC)
- Connected Workloads (Working Knowledge Required)
- Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Compute Engine
- Cloud SQL
- Cloud Storage Buckets
- Google Data/AI products
Essential Skills & Experience
- Senior‑level GCP Cloud Engineering experience with a strong networking focus
- Proven enterprise‑scale GCP networking design & implementation
- Hands‑on Terraform / Terraform Cloud
- Strong understanding of cloud security, identity, and governance
- Experience working in regulated or large enterprise environments
- Ability to operate in production‑critical environments
Desirable Skills
- GCP Certifications (Professional Cloud Network Engineer/Architect preferred)
- Experience acting as a technical SME or consultant
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
