Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a small team of around 3-5 people, with no direct staff management responsibilities.
- Work with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver technical changes, upgrades and maintenance.
- Communicate technical issues, risks and their potential impact on the business.
- Work regularly with senior stakeholders across IT and business teams.
- Ensure smart meter systems are reliable, secure and available.
Technical Responsibilities
Manage and support the following systems and processes:
- Azure Application Services
- Gamma Routers
- DCC physical and virtual gateway connections
- Database storage and SQL databases
- Azure Databricks storage
- Hardware Security Modules (HSM), including code changes and upgrades
- Siemens EnergyIP
- Data cleansing activities
- Database backup and retention policies
- Oracle databases
Skills and Experience Required
Essential Skills
- Experience in large-scale data migration and complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing cloud development and working with multiple suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Azure, AWS or another relevant cloud administration or development certification.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS).
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of the Smart Energy Code (SEC) and its impact on network operators.
