We are seeking an experienced F5 Network Engineer to support application delivery, load balancing, DNS infrastructure, and automation initiatives. The role involves engineering scalable, high-performance infrastructure solutions, managing onshore engineers, and coordinating with larger offshore delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, maintain, and enhance F5 LTM & GTM load-balancing environments.
- Work with architects, developers, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure and reliable solutions.
- Perform testing, certification, upgrades, and improvements across load-balancer platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex network/application delivery issues as a senior escalation point.
- Automate infrastructure configuration, deployment, and management using Python and Ansible.
- Support documentation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of infrastructure services.
- Lead and coordinate a small onshore engineering team while collaborating with offshore teams.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with F5 LTM & GTM configuration and APIs (TMSH, iControl, iRules).
- Solid understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, HTTP, SSL/TLS.
- Experience with automation using Python, Ansible, Shell Scripting, or similar technologies.
- Strong Linux command-line skills.
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to Cisco, Arista, or other network infrastructure technologies.
- Knowledge of distributed web applications and supporting infrastructure.
- Experience with virtualisation and container technologies.
- Understanding of SDLC practices, version control, CI/CD, and deployment tools.
- F5, Cisco, or relevant industry certifications preferred.
