Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from utility stakeholders.
- Work closely with business users, product owners, and technical teams to translate requirements into functional specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and impact assessment for market-related initiatives.
- Support implementation and enhancement of utility market systems and processes.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirement elicitation sessions.
- Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and test scenarios.
- Collaborate with QA teams for UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
- Ensure compliance with utility industry regulations, market rules, and governance standards.
- Support change management activities and business process improvements.
Mandatory Utilities Markets Knowledge
- Understanding of Electricity and Gas Markets.
- Knowledge of Wholesale and Retail Energy Markets.
- Familiarity with market mechanisms such as:
- Day-Ahead Market (DAM)
- Intraday Market (IDM)
- Balancing Mechanism
- Capacity Market
- Ancillary Services
- Knowledge of energy trading lifecycle and settlement processes.
- Understanding of market participants including Suppliers, Generators, Traders, DNOs/DSOs, TSOs, and Regulators.
- Experience working with utility market platforms and regulatory frameworks.
