Overview
Our Energy client is looking for an experienced Senior / Lead Analyst – LNG Business Solutions to join their London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst or ETRM Consultant with strong Endur expertise and deep knowledge of LNG and Energy Trading.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to design, improve, and deliver business-critical solutions across the LNG trading lifecycle. You will play a key role in process optimisation, system enhancements, business transformation, and ensuring technology solutions align with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business and IT teams to define and deliver strategic business solutions.
- Analyse, document, and optimise end-to-end LNG trading processes across the trade lifecycle.
- Support business process redesign covering LNG trading, risk, settlements, shipping, hedging, optimisation, and reporting.
- Lead business analysis activities for system enhancements, projects, and process improvements.
- Drive workshops with Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure business priorities are aligned with IT project delivery and ongoing BAU activities.
- Develop and improve business controls, reporting, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
- Support Agile project delivery, testing, solution validation, and implementation activities.
- Produce high-quality business documentation, process maps, and functional specifications.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience within an Energy Trading organisation.
- Solid understanding of LNG, Natural Gas, Oil or Commodities Trading.
- Strong knowledge of the complete commodity trade lifecycle, including Front, Middle, and Back Office operations.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience with ION Endur (OpenLink Endur) or a similar ETRM platform.
- Experience configuring or supporting LNG, gas, oil, or commodity transactions within Endur.
- Strong Business Analysis and process improvement experience.
- Experience working on system implementations, migrations, or transformation programmes.
- Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience designing technical solutions that improve business efficiency.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable Skills
- Experience within LNG shipping and voyage operations.
- Knowledge of commodities transportation and settlement processes.
- SQL or database querying experience.
- Python exposure.
- Microsoft Power Platform.
- Advanced Excel including reporting and VBA macros.
- Experience with Visio and SharePoint.
