We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering organisation based in the East Sussex / Kent area. This role offers the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality electrical designs across a range of infrastructure and power distribution projects.
The Role
Reporting to a senior engineering lead, you will be responsible for producing compliant and technically robust electrical designs, ensuring all work meets relevant legislation, industry standards and client requirements. You will also support technical decision-making, contribute to tender submissions and maintain strong working relationships with clients and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce HV and LV power distribution designs and associated system studies
- Ensure all designs meet regulatory and safety standards
- Provide technical input into bids and proposals
- Support efficient and practical engineering solutions
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety and quality throughout all design work
About You
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline
- Working towards professional accreditation
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems
- Experience within electrical design environments
- Minimum 5 years UK residency required
