Location: Milton Keynes, UK
Position Type: Contract Inside IR35

Job Description:
Required Skills:
- Payments, Cards, Mortgage and Lending
Essential Skills:
- Solution Architecture and Design
- Significant experience as a Solution Architect, ideally within complex financial services environments
- Domain knowledge in:
- Retail Banking products e.g. Unsecured loans, Personal Accounts – banking & savings and Bonds (fixed term deposits)
- Business Segmentation – Retail, business banking, private
- Onboarding processes for Personal account
- Core Banking products (customers, accounts, pricing, transactions, etc) and related services essential to the operations of a bank
Strategy Experience:
- Defining and evolving RESTful APIs following best practices for scalability, versioning and documentation
- Experience with event-driven architectures
- Ability to produce clear functional architecture, design logical components and define interactions between systems, whilst delivering decommissioning and archival initiatives
- Experience balancing business outcomes with long term architecture strategies
- Experience in working with engineering teams to align technical designs with the published architecture.
- Peer review designs produced by other team members, ensuring architectural integrity and compliance with standards.
- Experience in creating practical, workable architectures that can be aligned to IT principles/standards, whilst following the bank’s architecture governance processes.
