Senior Test Engineer (4G/5G network) in Reading

• Lead end-to-end test activities including test analysis, planning, execution, defect management, and reporting for telecom projects.
• Deliver test programs within agreed timelines by collaborating with design, operations, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and defects.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance test cases, test documentation, automation scripts, and testing procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
• Ensure the stability, availability, and maintenance of test environments, platforms, and technical systems under assigned ownership.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to test engineers while supporting complex testing activities and troubleshooting.
• Validate new and existing telecom services and solutions to ensure they meet quality, performance, and production readiness standards.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to support successful test delivery and continuous service improvement.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in telecommunications testing with strong knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and test management methodologies.
• Good understanding of 4G/5G network architecture, call flows, protocols, and telecom standards.
• Hands‑on experience with test management tools (e.g., HP ALM) and test automation tools or network simulators.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent software testing qualification is preferred.
• Experience in testing complex telecom projects, including cloud-based solutions and network elements such as IMS, OCS, PCRF, HSS/HLR, Billing, Messaging, or MVNO platforms.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify, investigate, and drive resolution of test defects and environment issues.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, and collaboration skills with the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes within project timelines.
