Our client is looking for an experienced Senior/Lead Data Platform Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for a cloud or platform engineer with solid DevOps and infrastructure skills, who can work on data migration, platform setup, and modern AWS based development. The main focus is on DevOps, infrastructure, and platform engineering to support secure, scalable, and automated data migration and ingestion.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years in data/platform engineering, including leadership experience
- Strong AWS experience: S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC/networking, DMS
- Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Understanding of data platforms (eg Snowflake/CDP) and ingestion pipelines
- Exposure to AI/ML enablement frameworks (eg AWS SageMaker) and supporting infrastructure for model training, deployment
- Experience with dbt/ELT patterns (beneficial, not core focus)
- Strong stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills
