My client is a leading UK energy organisation playing a critical role in helping British businesses and the public sector achieve Net Zero. Operating across multiple markets β including wholesale, residential, business energy solutions, and field services β the business is recognised for its scale, resilience, and ability to deliver value in a highly competitive and fast-evolving market.
The Large Business Sales function is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of high-value electricity supply customers, typically organisations consuming 20GWh+ per year. The team focuses on flexible and structured supply contracts, long-term customer value, and the development of value-adding energy solutions and services.
As a Senior Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of complex, high-value electricity supply customers. You will be responsible for retaining and growing existing accounts while identifying and developing new commercial opportunities. This is a senior, consultative role requiring strong commercial judgement, deep industry understanding, and the ability to build trusted relationships at multiple levels β including senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
You will act as a subject matter expert across energy contracts, market dynamics, and regulation, working closely with internal pricing, risk, operations, and product teams to deliver commercially viable and customer-focused solutions.
- Proactively develop and grow a portfolio of large, complex energy customers
- Achieve revenue and value targets through structured electricity supply contracts and value-adding products
- Use insight-led, consultative selling to link customer needs to energy solutions
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and new accounts
- Build and maintain detailed account plans based on customer intelligence
- Lead multi-stakeholder engagement internally and externally to drive deal success
- Act as a senior ambassador for the organisation in customer and industry interactions
- Stay up to date with B2B energy markets, regulation, and commercial trends
- Ensure full compliance with governance, policy, and risk frameworks
