Solution Architecture and Design
Significant experience as a Solution Architect, ideally within complex financial services environments.
- Domain knowledge in:
- Retail Banking products e.g. - Unsecured loans, Personal Accounts – banking & savings, and Bonds (fixed term deposits)
- Business Segmentation – Retail, business banking, private
- Onboarding processes for Personal accounts
- Core Banking products (customers, accounts, pricing, transactions, etc) and related services essential to the operations of a bank
Domain driven design, with working knowledge of the BIAN framework, TOGAF, ArchiMate.
Proven experience in defining & documenting As-Is & Target Architecture, working with stakeholders to help define & deliver strategic objectives & roadmaps, being embedded into the functional domain, balancing business requirements with functional & technical.
Defining and evolving RESTful APIs following best practices for scalability, versioning and documentation.
Experience with event-driven architectures.
Ability to produce clear functional architecture, design logical components and define interactions between systems, whilst delivering decommissioning and archival initiatives.
Experience balancing business outcomes with long term architecture strategies.
Experience in working with engineering teams to align technical designs with the published architecture. Peer review designs produced by other team members, ensuring architectural integrity and compliance with standards.
Experience in creating practical, workable architectures that can be aligned to IT principles/standards, whilst following the bank’s architecture governance processes.
