Overview

We are open for two locations - Gaydon or Whitely UK

Responsibilities

  • Size and design powertrains to meet vehicle attribute and market performance requirements.
  • Analyze market benchmarks and technologies related to hybrid (PHEV/MHEV) and electric propulsion systems.
  • Integrate powertrain hardware with vehicle systems, ensuring proper mechanical and power supply interfaces.
  • Collaborate with software, electrical, and vehicle integration teams to define system requirements.
  • Support the development of next-generation electrified propulsion systems.

Must Have

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with strong knowledge of mechanical design and powertrain sizing for automotive applications.
  • Practical experience with powertrain systems and their operation.
  • Strong project management, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze powertrain benchmarking data.

Good to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in powertrain mechanical sizing for BEV or hybrid vehicle applications.
