We are seeking a hands-on C++ Production Support Engineer to support and enhance a legacy Treasury platform (LPS) within Client. The role involves a blend of technical remediation on a mature C++ application and ongoing production support across internal client platforms such as SecDB and Slang.
Key Responsibilities
- C++ Technical Remediation
- Perform remediation and risk mitigation activities within a legacy C++ codebase, including addressing runtime vulnerabilities and stability issues.
- Analyze, debug, and implement fixes in a mature enterprise platform with long-standing architecture.
- Work closely with development teams to resolve technical debt and improve system reliability.
- Support code enhancements and maintenance activities aligned with platform modernization goals.
- Provide day-to-day production support for the LPS platform and associated workflows.
- Execute operational runbooks, including user onboarding, database updates, and scheduled support activities.
- Monitor application health, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure timely resolution of production issues.
- Assist in evolving the support model from siloed ownership to a scalable and distributed support structure.
- Integrate platform processes with enterprise scheduling, monitoring, and operational tooling.
- Collaborate across teams and gain exposure to internal client platforms including SecDB and Slang.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in C++ with proven experience in debugging, code analysis, and issue remediation.
- Experience supporting production applications in enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of Unix/Linux systems; exposure to Solaris is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently with strong ownership and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience handling incidents, operational support tasks, and production troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to financial services, treasury, or trading platforms.
- Experience working with legacy system modernization or remediation initiatives.
- Familiarity with scripting, database queries, or platform integration activities.
