We are seeking an experienced Offshore Cable Project Engineer to support the tendering and delivery of offshore high-voltage subsea cable projects. This role requires a commercially aware engineer with strong experience in cost estimation, proposal development, and tendering, combined with deep technical knowledge of offshore subsea cable systems and installation activities.
This position requires prior hands-on experience working on offshore subsea cable projects, ideally including offshore field exposure, with a strong understanding of how projects are executed in practice.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for offshore subsea cable installation scopes.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, budgets, and pricing models for tenders and bids.
- Review ITTs, client specifications, and contract documentation to identify risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate with engineering, commercial, and project teams to deliver competitive and accurate tender submissions.
- Provide technical input on offshore HV cable systems, installation methodologies, and cable protection solutions.
- Support project planning, execution strategies, risk assessments, and engineering documentation.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors during tendering and execution phases.
- Support change management, variations, and commercial reporting as required.
- Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven, hands-on experience in offshore subsea cable projects (essential).
- Previous offshore project experience strongly preferred.
- Strong background in preparing cost proposals, estimates, and tender submissions.
- Solid technical understanding of offshore cable installation, burial, protection, and associated operations.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, scopes of work, and contractual requirements.
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in offshore wind, interconnector, or transmission cable projects.
- Offshore installation vessel or construction campaign experience.
- Familiarity with offshore project execution environments and constraints.
Permanent role, will require 3 days per week in office required.
