IT Change Manager Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced IT Change Manager to lead and manage change initiatives across large-scale, complex IT transformation programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that changes are effectively managed and embedded within the organisation, minimising disruption and maximising adoption and business benefit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead IT change management activities across multiple, concurrent large-scale IT programmes.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies and plans, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and business readiness.
  • Assess change impacts across people, processes, and technology, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate closely with programme/project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure changes are delivered smoothly and effectively.
  • Establish change governance and ensure alignment with wider programme delivery and organisational goals.
  • Monitor and measure change progress, adoption, and effectiveness; report to senior stakeholders and adjust approach as needed.
  • Manage change-related risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
  • Support the creation and execution of communication and engagement strategies to prepare impacted teams.
  • Act as a change champion, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.

IT Change Manager – Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Proven track record as an IT Change Manager on large-scale, complex IT transformation programmes (e.g., ERP, cloud migration, digital transformation).
  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience working in matrixed and cross-functional teams, often in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change activities in both Agile and Waterfall programme delivery environments.
  • Skilled in impact assessments, training needs analysis, business readiness, and communications planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
