Overview
We are hiring a Cyber Security OT Engineer to support the protection and resilience of Operational Technology (OT) systems within a critical infrastructure environment. You will work closely with the OT Cyber Security Engineering Manager to ensure systems are secure, compliant, and resilient against cyber threats, in line with NCSC NIS Regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation, administration, and maintenance of OT security infrastructure
- Monitor and manage security tools including firewalls, SIEM, PAM, IDS, endpoint security, and network access controls
- Handle cyber security incidents and support incident response and recovery activities
- Perform root cause analysis and work with problem management teams
- Plan, test, and implement changes following strict change control processes
- Support OT security projects and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (NISD)
- Conduct cyber security testing and track remediation actions
- Maintain and enhance security across SCADA and OT environments
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers
- Provide technical guidance on secure network design (WAN/LAN, SCADA)
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and trends in OT environments

Required Experience
- ~5+ years in Cyber Security or Networking (preferably in industrial/OT environments)
- ~ Strong experience in OT/IT security operations and infrastructure
- ~ Hands-on experience with network security, firewalls, and monitoring tools
- ~ Experience in incident response and cyber security improvement initiatives
Preferred Skills
- Industrial protocols: DNP3, ICCP, IEC 61850
- Standards: NISD, NCSC CAF, ISO 27001/27002, IEC 62443
- SCADA systems (electricity or utilities environment preferred)
- Purdue Model understanding
- Secure VPN technologies (IPSec)
- Scripting: PowerShell / Python
- PKI & certificate management
- Knowledge of communication technologies (Fibre, Satellite, Mobile, etc.)
Qualifications & Certifications
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Certifications (preferred): NSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or similar
- Must be eligible for UK SC Clearance
