We're currently hiring for a Head of Business & Technical Architecture role with a central focus on shaping the future of smart energy metering in the UK. The position is pivotal in influencing government, regulators, and industry stakeholders, driving innovation, and chairing key strategic committees that impact over 30 million homes and businesses.
The successful candidate will need to have:
- Minimum of 5 yearsβ experience in a senior technology leadership role such as CTO/CPO (preferably within energy or telecoms) with demonstrable experience of working with and engaging with customers on their needs.
- A business focused CTO or technology focused CPO.
- Demonstrable ability of operating as an effective Chair, covering technical options and priorities, taking inputs from multiple perspectives (i.e. customers and architects) and considering operational necessities and the replacement of aging/legacy systems.
- The ability to interact with, and influence senior industry stakeholders, with competing priorities and viewpoints, in a structured, fair and collaborative manner.
- Senior-level experience of running product and service management technology solutions (ideally in a Business-to-Business environment).
- Outstanding communication skills to explain business and technical complexities with clarity.
- A strong technology background, with knowledge of emerging technologies and ability to assess their strategic impact on smart metering.
- A detailed understanding of the current and future-planned technical smart metering architecture (this is preferable but not essential).
