Job Description
Connections Manager
Location: London – hybrid
Salary: up to 45k base salary + %bonus
We’re looking for a Connections Manager to join a growing battery storage development team, supporting the UK’s energy transition. This role leads all aspects of grid connection activities for projects across GB, while also contributing to site identification, planning, and land agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage grid connection applications to DNOs, IDNOs, and the Transmission System Operator
- Review connection offers, identify risks, and optimise costs
- Track progress from application to energisation, coordinating with network operators, contractors, and project teams
- Maintain accurate project data and provide regular updates to the development team
- Act as primary contact for external stakeholders on grid connection matters
- Support site feasibility assessments, planning applications, and land negotiations
Your Profile
- In-depth understanding of GB distribution & transmission networks and grid connection procedures
- Knowledge of Distribution Code, G99/G100/P28/G5, and CUSC
- Experience with technical and commercial evaluation of grid connections
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Passion for renewables, low carbon energy, and decarbonisation
