Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with demonstrable expertise in offshore wind export and array cable systems to join our growing team. This is a predominantly office-based role focused on project leadership, stakeholder engagement, technical coordination, and advisory support across the development and delivery of export and array cable packages. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, consultants, suppliers, and project teams, providing expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle. This position is not primarily focused on offshore installation supervision or offshore operational delivery. We are specifically seeking an individual with strong consultancy, engineering management, project development, or package management experience who can provide technical and commercial insight from a London-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the development and delivery of offshore wind export and array cable projects.
- Provide technical and commercial advice relating to cable system design, procurement, installation, and project execution.
- Manage interfaces between developers, OEMs, cable suppliers, installation contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Support tendering activities, package management, contractor evaluation, and procurement processes.
- Identify project risks and opportunities, providing practical mitigation strategies and recommendations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare and present reports, project updates, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and clients.
- Contribute technical expertise across export cable and inter-array cable packages throughout all project phases.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience working on offshore wind export cable and/or inter-array cable projects.
- Strong understanding of cable system design, installation methodologies, procurement, and project delivery.
- Experience in project management, package management, owner's engineering, consultancy, or developer environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to provide strategic guidance and technical leadership to project teams and clients.
- Comfortable working within a collaborative office environment with regular stakeholder interaction.
Essential Requirement
Candidates must be willing to work from the London office a minimum of three days per week. Please note that while offshore wind cable experience is essential, this role is primarily office-based and advisory in nature. We are seeking professionals with experience in project development, engineering management, package management, consultancy, or owner's engineering functions rather than individuals whose experience is predominantly focused on offshore vessel operations or offshore site-based installation roles.
