We are seeking a proactive Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects within Electrical Transmission frameworks. You will guide projects from inception to completion, ensuring excellence in health, safety, environmental management, and overall delivery. Collaborate with a skilled team, manage project risks, and contribute your industry expertise to support new bids and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple M&E projects across Electrical Transmission frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Oversee project execution from design through completion, achieving time, cost, and performance targets.
- Engage effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
- Support business development by contributing technical insights to bids and proposals.
- Manage project budgets and report on financial performance.
- Utilise project management software to track progress and ensure transparency.
What Youβll Bring
- Experience working on National Grid substation builds, including practical knowledge of NG SRs, Rules, EPC/M&E frameworks.
- Proven leadership on Design & Build projects, managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging clients and suppliers.
- Qualification in construction, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Project management certification (e.g., APM, PMP) preferred.
- Strong commercial understanding of NEC contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project risk and opportunity.
- Strong regulatory knowledge (HSWA, CDM, EAWR, etc.).
- Ability to drive a project through all lifecycle phases.
- Proven experience managing budgets and delivering projects on time and within scope.
- Proficiency with project management software.
