Senior Consultant – Electrical Engineering
Locations – North England & Scotland
Salary – £45-55K DOE
One of our key clients is seeking a Senior Consultant (Power Systems) with a strong understanding of the GB Power System and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Power Systems Engineer with project management and technical leadership skills, impacting the strategic direction of our consulting services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform technical tasks to ensure successful project completion
- Supervise and manage complex consulting projects from initiation to completion
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Stay updated with industry changes and trends
- Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and seminars
- Mentor and develop team members and Junior Consultants
- Promote a collaborative and efficient team environment
Minimum Qualifications:
- Electrical Engineering degree, master\’s degree, or equivalent
- At least four years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in network modeling and analysis using commercial software such as PSCAD, DIgSILENT Powerfactory, IPSA, etc.
- Knowledge of Great Britain\’s transmission and distribution networks
- Programming skills in Python
- Experience in proposal writing for domestic and international clients
- Previous experience in the Energy regulatory sector
