Valley Veterinary Group are a two-site practice 20 minutes south of Glasgow and is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, enthusiastic team! This role is an FTC offering a salary of up to £63k, FTE, dependent on experience, plus benefits.
We believe in learning, career progression and supporting each other. Our practices are forward‑thinking and busy, and we take pride in delivering the highest level of veterinary care to our loyal clients and their pets. We have a purpose‑built RCVS‑accredited main surgery, which is extremely well‑equipped to allow case workups to a high standard and an SVN training practice. There are approximately 20 of us here in practice. Our practice is very well equipped, as you would expect of a modern, forward‑thinking practice, with dental radiography, endoscopy and recently upgraded ultrasound. We have received 5 RCVS Outstanding Practice Standard Awards, which we are enormously proud of.
This is a first‑opinion GP role with a focus on consultations, interpreting lab results, case planning, prescription oversight, and supporting our nursing and reception teams. You’ll be working closely with a loyal client base, many of whom have been with us for decades, and benefit from a high percentage of insured clients and a strong work‑up culture. While this is primarily a consulting role, we do require some surgical experience for routine procedures, but, as a team, we are more than happy to provide support and training to help with development. There is no on‑call required in this role, and Saturdays are worked on a rota basis of 1 in 4. Time is given back during the week for working Saturdays.
We understand that relocation can be daunting, which is why we offer relocation packages to help make the transition as smooth as possible. Additionally, we are pleased to offer visa sponsorship for eligible candidates who wish to join our team and must be eligible to register with RCVS.
