Midday Assistant
Scale 2 (£24,796 - £25,185 pro rata, £4,776.76 - £4,851.71 actual salary), 8 hours 20 minutes, Part Time, 11:50am – 1:30pm Monday – Friday, Term Time Only, Permanent, Start Date: 1st September 2026.

About the Role
We wish to appoint a caring, patient and kind mid‑day assistant who loves working with children. The successful candidate will have a positive approach to work with our pupils who have additional needs (including complex learning disabilities, autism and medical conditions).
About You
Applicants will be committed to developing their own professional skills and knowledge. You would work as part of a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team in a happy, welcoming school. Ongoing training is provided within school for all staff. Many of our midday assistants progress to work as teaching assistants.
About Our School
Safeguarding is the most important work we do at Valley School. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check. We carry out online searches.
