We are a busy GP Practice in Leamington Spa, looking for a kind and caring person to join our team. The care navigator role is one of guidance and assistance to our patient base.
Main duties of the job:
- First point of contact when patients call into the practice, booking appointments, processing prescription requests, helping patients with their enquiries and needs.
About us:
A well established GP practice, working out of brand new premises on Valley Road in Leamington Spa. We are a wonderful, warm, efficient and compassionate team of people.
Job responsibilities:
- Booking appointments with a variety of clinicians and Allied Health Professionals.
- Processing registrations.
- Processing medication requests.
- Creating test request forms under instruction from clinicians while following Practice protocols.
- Chaperone for clinicians when the HealthCare Assistant is not available.
- Providing front-of-house reception services to patients, checking in patients and answering/resolving queries as needed both in-person and over the phone.
- Updating patient records as required.
Person Specification:
Experience:
- Experience of working in a customer facing role is essential.
- GP practice experience is preferred, it is not essential as full training will be given.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
