Invicta Grammar School is a highly respected institution with a successful and creative Music Department seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Music. The role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic department with a wide range of musical activities including choirs, orchestras, band, and pop groups.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver music lessons to pupils across key stages.
- Prepare students for participation in school musical activities and performances.
- Support and develop the four choirs, string orchestra, wind band, big band, guitar ensemble and rock & pop bands.
- Co‑organise concerts, school productions and external performances.
- Collaborate with other staff to embed music within the wider curriculum.
- Use pedagogical techniques to support learning for pupils with diverse needs.
Qualifications
- Experience or newly qualified teachers considered.
- Passion for teaching music and commitment to students’ progression.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support new staff.
