CNC Operator
Main Duties
- Setting tools and jaws in CNC lathes
- Operating CNC lathes to machine precision components
- Checking machined components meet drawing specifications
- Measuring and checking own work using various measuring equipment
- 4 day working week: Mon to Thurs 07:00 – 17:00
- Overtime available (agreed in advance)
- Christmas and bank holiday shut‑downs plus an extra nearly 5 weeks of flexible holidays
- Additional holiday pay based on average overtime worked

Job Skills and Requirements
- Ability to set tools and offsets in CNC machines
- Preparing CNC lathes ready for proving out
- Mechanically minded, hands‑on methodical worker with high standards
- Experience of working within an engineering workshop with CNC lathes
- Ability to use various types of measuring equipment
- Can understand and read engineering drawings
- Must be able to work to tight deadlines and high targets in a fast‑paced environment
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and rules
- Wage dependent upon experience
Required Experience
- Tool setting and operating CNC lathes: 3 years
Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday 07:00 – 17:00
