CNC Operator

Main Duties

• Setting tools and jaws in CNC lathes
• Operating CNC lathes to machine precision components
• Checking machined components meet drawing specifications
• Measuring and checking own work using various measuring equipment
• 4 day working week: Mon to Thurs 07:00 – 17:00
• Overtime available (agreed in advance)
• Christmas and bank holiday shut‑downs plus an extra nearly 5 weeks of flexible holidays
• Additional holiday pay based on average overtime worked

Job Skills and Requirements

• Ability to set tools and offsets in CNC machines
• Preparing CNC lathes ready for proving out
• Mechanically minded, hands‑on methodical worker with high standards
• Experience of working within an engineering workshop with CNC lathes
• Ability to use various types of measuring equipment
• Can understand and read engineering drawings
• Must be able to work to tight deadlines and high targets in a fast‑paced environment
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and rules
• Wage dependent upon experience

Required Experience

• Tool setting and operating CNC lathes: 3 years

Monday to Thursday 07:00 – 17:00
