Role Overview: Kent is seeking a clinician to join our diverse and fun team to work with children, youth, and families both in the office and in the Kent School District. The clinician will provide clinical and case management mental health services by utilizing evidence-based practices and brief interventions. Applicants are expected to communicate with their clients, families, and school officials about ongoing treatment and work collaboratively to ensure that client needs are being addressed. The clinician will be responsible for maintaining strong partnerships with schools and other community partners. This position requires the ability to be flexible to school and clinic scheduling needs and a passion for serving youth ages 5-19.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical mental health services to clients including intake assessment, individual, family, brief interventions, group psychotherapy, and case management services.
  • Timely completion of paperwork including intakes, treatment plans, 180-day review updates, and progress notes as required by WAC, Medicaid, Medicare, and other contracts.
  • Provides Crisis Management Services.
  • Work in collaboration with the treatment and/or wraparound team and effectively collaborate with service systems and client support networks.
  • Performs real world problem solving with the client, which may require the clinician to work in the office as well as in the community field to engage clients in services. This may include but is not limited to clients' homes, hospitals, schools, and shelters.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • MA degree in Behavioral Sciences.
  • Licensed or Associate Mental Health Counselor (LMHC/A), Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT/A) or Social Worker (LICSW/A).
  • Registration with the State of Washington and eligible for Licensure, if not already Licensed.
  • Experience providing services in a school setting.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • In depth knowledge of human growth and development, individual and group behavior, emotion dysfunction including sexual, physical and emotional abuse, and principles and techniques for intervention including diagnostic, clinical, case management, and other necessary therapeutic skills.
  • Pass required background check.
