Pay: Range starts at $23.50/hour (pay is calculated based on years of licensed experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9am-5pm

Job Summary and Deliverables:

• The Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC) works with clients individually and in group settings and teaches skills on behaviour modification with the goal of full recovery.
• Manages caseload including care plan and ASAM management.
• Teaches groups and individual sessions utilising evidence-based practices and behaviour modification with the intention of full sobriety.
• Collaborates with a team of multi-disciplinary mental health professionals.
• Mentors clients who are in an intensive residential treatment program for substance abuse and mental health disorders.
• Provides positive role‑modeling and teaches social/behavioural skills.
• Tracks and maintains client data.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work.
• Experience: None - see Preferred Qualifications.
• Licenses/Certifications: SUDC license in state of practice, CPR certification, Valley de-escalation certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in social work.
