Validus Risk Management is seeking a Financial Application Business Analyst to join our product team within Quantitative Analytics and Technology department. The successful candidate will work closely with risk advisors, traders, developers and quants to analyse, design and implement solutions for our technology solutions (Validus Horizon) for alternative asset managers, focusing on market risks. This position will require experience in financial instruments, understanding of business processes and technical self-sufficiency like Python and SQL.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and developers to design, implement, and maintain Validus Horizon platform.
- Analyse requirements to create detailed technical designs and specifications for new systems or modifications to existing systems.
- Collaborate with system architects, project managers and development teams to provide estimates and identify issues/challenges in meeting project timelines.
- Verify that solutions meet requirements and business objectives, and are delivered on-time and on-budget.
- Create and maintain systems documentation including functional specifications, test plans, and process flow diagrams.
- Manage support tickets with the ability to identify the issues and then to assign to the right team.
- Master\'s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent degree.
- Business analysis experience in financial markets required, Forex and IR derivatives is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Knowledge of SQL database and python programming is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
