Validus Risk Management is seeking an experienced Regulatory Reporting Lead to oversee and enhance our regulatory reporting function. As a specialised provider, we deliver comprehensive regulatory reporting services to institutional clients, including those who trade through our platform and those who engage us solely for our reporting expertise.

This is a client-facing leadership role that combines deep regulatory technical knowledge with operational excellence. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our regulatory reporting services while acting as the technical authority for client queries and supporting our product development roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery & Quality Management
    • Oversee end-to-end quality assurance of the regulatory reporting function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all client submissions.
    • Work closely with the Head of Trading Operations to support BAU delivery where required, ensuring seamless operational integration.
    • Develop and maintain quality control frameworks and reporting standards.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients on regulatory reporting matters.
    • Respond to complex technical queries regarding EMIR, MIFID, ASIC, and MAS reporting requirements.
    • Proactively communicate regulatory changes and their impact on client reporting obligations.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the client base.
  • Product Development & Technology Collaboration
    • Partner with technology and product teams to support the development and enhancement of regulatory reporting capabilities.
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for new functionality.
    • Ensure new releases align with business-approved requirements and regulatory standards.
    • Participate in UAT and provide regulatory expertise during the product development lifecycle.
  • Project Management & Strategic Initiatives
    • Lead and coordinate multiple regulatory reporting workstreams simultaneously.
    • Manage implementation of new regulatory requirements and client onboarding projects.
    • Monitor project timelines, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
    • Contribute to the strategic development of the regulatory reporting service offering.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge
    • Deep technical knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements across EMIR, MIFID, ASIC, and MAS regimes.
    • Strong understanding of derivatives markets, trade lifecycle, and reporting workflows.
    • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements in practical scenarios.
    • Up-to-date awareness of regulatory developments and their operational implications.
  • Experience
    • Proven track record in regulatory reporting within financial services, preferably in a reg tech or institutional trading environment.
    • Demonstrable experience in a client-facing capacity, managing complex stakeholder relationships.
    • Experience working with technology teams and contributing to product development processes.
    • Track record of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulatory concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives through to completion.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Desirable
