As a Sales Engineer, you're the person who proves it.
You'll sit across from the data leaders of demanding enterprises and show them, live, that their data can be trusted.
You’ll be the technical core of our sales team — partnering with Account Executives from first conversation to signed deal, translating hard data problems into a clear path to value with Validio.
What you'll do
- Partner with AEs on deal strategy and qualify where Validio wins
- Run technical discovery with business data and engineering teams, and map their challenges to our platform
- Own proof-of-value engagements end to end — from success criteria to the moment the data speaks for itself
- Deliver tailored demos and turn technical evaluators into internal champions
- Be the trusted technical voice for prospects, and carry their reality back to Product and Engineering
- Build the demos, playbooks, and reusable assets that scale how we sell
- What you'll bring
- 5+ years proven experience in pre-sales, solutions or sales engineering — ideally in data, analytics, or developer-focused software
- Fluency with the modern data stack (e. g. Snowflake, Big Query, Databricks, dbt, Looker, Tableau) and strong SQL
- The rare ability to hold a room of engineers and a room of executives, and connect technical capability to business value
- Ownership instinct — you move deals forward without waiting to be told how
- Bonus points for
- Experience in data quality, observability, or governance
- Building pre-sales motion from an early stage
