UNIT Solutions, a fast-growing designer and manufacturer of proprietary, non-lethal training systems for military and law enforcement personnel, is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Manufacturing Assembly Technician II to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential for maintaining operational excellence on the shop floor by ensuring equipment operates efficiently, products meet quality standards, and all safety protocols are meticulously followed at the Twinsburg, Ohio facility. The Manufacturing Assembly Technician II will report to the Manager of Production.
The Manufacturing Assembly Technician II will support manufacturing operations by assisting with product assembly, quality testing, packaging, fulfillment, shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, quality control, troubleshooting, and testing of UNIT Solutions' full product line of non-lethal Pistols and Rifles to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders.
Responsibilities- Assemble mechanical components according to engineering documents, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
- Operate tools, jigs, and specialty production fixtures to assemble and test sub-assemblies and finished products.
- Perform in-process inspection using calipers, micrometers, and precision instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Complete production documentation, record gauge/chart data, and assist with Quality Deviation reports.
- Adhere to safety policies, properly handle/label chemicals, and maintain clean/organized workspace.
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to define procedures, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in cross-training and continuous skill development.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus.
- Minimum 3β5 yearsβ experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly roles.
- Ability to work in a productive, cooperative manner with other company employees.
- Strong attention to detail to produce high quality sub-assemblies and finished products.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies or processes.
- Ability to multitask in a moderate paced environment.
- Must have a βCan-Doβ attitude of no job too big, no job too small that includes a small team willingness to do the work yourself as required.
- Must be able to occasionally work weekends and after-hours during peak times.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms to perform assembly and fulfillment tasks. The role occasionally requires lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds (e.g., moving parts from storage and transporting materials into the work area).
