Intellectual Property Paralegal
Valet Patent Services is a collegial, experienced, and growing intellectual property firm that supports the international patent filing needs of clients around the globe. Our team offers a comprehensive personal intellectual property administration service.
As an Intellectual Property Paralegal, you will support our attorneys and professional staff to coordinate patent filings and patent prosecution worldwide.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Responsible for preparing all documents required in connection with EP, GB, PCT and foreign applications
- Proactively initiates preparation of responses to official communications and notifications.
- Maintain and share advanced knowledge of latest patent rules and adapting practices to comply.
- Monitor and updating electronic docket(s) for responsible attorney(s) and assigned paralegal tasks on a daily basis.
- Monitor all assigned cases and proactively ensure that all related deadlines are met in a timely manner.
- Independent, proactive and critical review, maintenance and assistance of responsible attorney(s)’ dockets and workload.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in paralegal studies, intellectual property, or a related field
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in a law office or corporate setting
- Punctual, reliable, and able to meet set deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of matters and other firm business information
