The PCMS Reliability Specialist performs and coordinates Plant Condition Monitoring System (PCMS) data entry, record maintenance, inspection drawing maintenance, and document analysis to support the inspection/mechanical integrity program.
Responsibilities
- Oversee data entry by authorized users in PCMS to set up new equipment and piping with corrosion monitoring locations and create events with attachments to document On-Stream inspections and thickness measurements.
- Input data into PCMS and run PCMS-based KPI reports as required.
- Highlight trends in data and future schedule loadings.
- Input risk‑based inspection data into PCMS and run PCMS-based KPI reports as required.
- Support RBI efforts by pulling past inspection data and updating PCMS to reflect RBI findings such as damage mechanism assignment, circuitization, probability of failure, consequence of failure, inspection effectiveness, etc.
- Coordinate the transmittal of documents in and out of PCMS, and assist end‑users with locating requested documents, drawings, etc. within the PCMS.
- Audit data in PCMS frequently for accuracy of critical fields.
- Prioritise and schedule work to meet established deadlines and ensure updates are made.
- Communicate clearly with Change Management team members, verbally and within the Inspection Database, to maintain efficient workflow.
- Contact employees, contractors, etc. as required to obtain necessary information for input into PCMS.
- Audit CAD and data entry output to assure quality and accuracy.
- Work with PCMS vendor/creator to implement and understand updates to the system.
- Ensure data in PCMS data fields and electronic CAD folders are up‑to‑date and accurate.
- Ensure modifications and changes made to existing records are maintained within the Inspection Database and documented in a complete and traceable manner.
- Actively participate in the Valero PCMS users group calls/meetings.
- Support TAR activities regarding PCMS updates.
- Lead EHSM Five Why field investigations.
- Work with corporate to troubleshoot PCMS functionality.
- Must be on call as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent working knowledge of PCMS.
- 10+ years of related experience with PCMS.
- Bachelor’s degree would be advantageous.
- CAD drafting experience is preferred.
- API 510, API 570 and API 580 knowledge is desirable.
