Description
The Field Supervisor is responsible for maintenance execution in Complex II (Blending & Shipping). The Field Supervisor will:
Actively participate in monthly safety meetings and attend relevant frontline stewardship meetings.
Lead by example in all areas of safety, promoting and developing the existing safety culture and carry out required monthly safety targets (VSEP/PCS0012).
Review routine JHA\βs to ensure quality and compliance.
Ensure that the work force is ready to work and carry out daily compliance checks i.e. clean shaven, PPE, H2S, tools.
Attend Complex permit issuing locations each morning to ensure discipline teams are timely and \βready to work\β.
Attend Complex area workface throughout the day, targeting 80% presence in the field.
Field walk and verify job readiness in the Complex area the day before execution.
Ensure all scheduled work within the Routine Maintenance Excellence System (RMES) is executed.
Remove delays and barriers impacting successful execution of the schedule.
Provide timely feedback to Complex Superintendent on progress / exceptions.
Provide timely feedback to Discipline Planner on progress / exceptions and resource capacities / scheduling purposes.
Ensure efficient utilisation of all resources.
Utilise Scheduling Publishing System (SPS) for next day\βs execution schedule.
Ensure \βFirst Out\β permits are issued timely, efficiently and within the appropriate priority.
Facilitate and execute break-in work orders.
Engage with Contractors to ensure execution of planned work in line with Risk Assessed Method Statements/EMOC\βs etc.
Confirm any non \βlike for like\β work has appropriate EMOC and status.
Ensure all work to be completed satisfies the relevant codes and site standards and is cost effective and timely.
Ensure QA/QC compliance.
Complete QA/QC final witness pressure tests/punch out equipment in the field.
Review and critique before and after start-up work before signing off.
Manage closure certificate process for equipment.
Oversee and steward Short Term Workers.
Ensure housekeeping standards pre, during and post task are maintained.
Ensure all RMES Permit Closures for your work scope are conducted face to face.
Carry out duties in line with Temporary Leak Repair guidance.
Maintain good written records and utilise SAP effectively.
Support Turnaround execution in a lead role.
Commit to providing Duty Engineer out of hours on-call cover and work extended hours during busy periods.
Support out of hours requirements as required.
Work 12 hour days or nights, including weekends and holidays during turnaround work.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must have completed a relevant apprenticeship or other relevant recognised training programme as a minimum, and HNC qualified in a relevant field is desirable.
A minimum of 10 years post qualification is preferred.
Previous experience in a supervisory role is advantageous.
EngTech status with a relevant institution is desirable.
