Overview
Responsible for the safe execution of maintenance activities on Analyser systems located in a hazardous area environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work activities in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
  • Carry out fault location, repair, calibration and maintenance of all Process Analyser systems and Sample Conditioning systems.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance (PMs) and proof test procedures on safety-related Analyser systems.
  • Carry out inspection and maintenance of hazardous area equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and wiring schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and repair DCS/PLC related failures.
  • Understand loop powered vs. field powered.
  • Possess a basic understanding of the following Analysers:
  • Servomex / Rosemount / Enotech O2 and CO
  • ICON physical property analysers
  • Ametek / Western Research 900 Taill gas / Air demand
  • Ametek IPS-4 Photometric Feed forward
  • Fisher Scientific SOLA II Total Sulphur
  • Analect HSS FTIR Gasoline Spectrometers
  • Grabner / ABB RVP PAC NSURE Total Sulphur
  • ABB URAS / LIMAS / ZFG2-continuous emissions monitoring
  • PH / Conductivity / Water hardness / Dissolved Oxygen
  • Provide technical support for contractors’ personnel engaged in analyser maintenance and installation activities.
  • Install piping, conduit, etc., if needed.
  • Must be on call as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    • Must have completed an apprenticeship or other relevant recognised training programme.
    • Previous experience working in the oil and gas, or other continuous process industry is advantageous.
    • HNC qualified in a relevant field is desirable.
    • Must hold, or be working towards CompEx accreditation.
    • EngTech status with a relevant institution is desirable.
