Job Description
Weekend Production Manager 32 hours (Friday 6am-2pm, Saturday 6am-6pm & Sunday 10am-10pm)
Here at our Valeo Foods York site we are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager (Weekends) to support in delivering strategic and day-to-day operational excellence. As the Production Manager you'll be the guardian of our production, ensuring that all resources are utilised effectively to exceed our KPIs. From maintaining top-notch health and safety standards to fostering team development, you'll play a pivotal role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You will need to be able to drive change and push continuous improvement across production.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support delivery of operational strategy and day-to-day performance
- Monitor KPIs (costs, waste, labour, OEE) and drive corrective actions
- Lead continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Ensure strong health & safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Maintain audit readiness across all areas
- Improve environmental, hygiene, and housekeeping standards
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve site objectives
Qualifications
Key Experience & Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing/operations leadership role
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and best practice
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams
- Understanding of HSE, quality, and cost control
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness with a customer-focused approach
