Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Product Developer to join us on a 9 month FTC to support the NPD + EPD activity across a portfolio of private label accounts, B2B and food service. The role involves developing products from concept to customer sign-off, working in a cross-functional team internally and externally.
- Manage private label accounts to deliver new product launches and key customer initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with key customer contacts.
- Lead R&D customer visits, coordinating efforts to ensure success.
- Support the creation of effective customer quality plans.
- Attend stage/gate meetings and manage projects with structured plans.
- Coordinate project handovers to Process Development and Operations teams, ensuring successful factory implementation, including factory and trial support as needed.
- Hold project meetings, working closely with Grocery Controllers and National Account Managers.
- Manage the project critical path to ensure timely delivery.
- Engage stakeholders regularly to provide updates and plan remedial actions.
- Engage with external stakeholders and industry to explore innovation opportunities.
- Explore new processes, products, ingredients, and packaging formats for improvement.
- Develop products proactively based on market trends and benchmarking.
- Drive cost-effective innovation and identify efficiency opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in Food Science or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in R&D/Development or similar roles.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge in kitchen and manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Skilled at building collaborative relationships.
- Highly organized, able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong time management and attention to detail.
