We are looking for an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor to join our team. This role is focused on building positive working relationships, supporting managers and ensuring we remain compliant with employment legislation, while working closely with stakeholders across our UK sites. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week based at one of our sites. Due to business and team needs, regular travel across our UK sites will also be required.
The role’s primary focus will be on promoting positive working relationships, resolving conflict and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, partnering with stakeholders across the UK business. Working closely with the HRBP's to provide effective and timely response to the UK management teams and key stakeholders. This role also plays a key role in identifying and mitigating risk to the organisation. This role will involve a high degree of remote support, therefore the ability to communicate, coach and influence using a variety of channels is essential.
Please note that a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent collaboration skills incl. the capacity to tell people what they need to hear
- Business acumen to connect data with business reality
- Adaptability to operate at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Deep understanding of HR Policies and practice
- Ability to conduct thorough and objective investigations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple cases and prioritise work effectively
- Proven experience in Employee Relations, handling employee relations matters within a business
- In depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations and our own HR policies and procedures
- Understanding of conflict resolution methods and mediation skills
- Experience of using HRIS systems
- CIPD Level 5 or demonstrable experience within the role
