Job Description

Mezz Floor Operator Heanor

Day shift - Operating between 6am and 3.30pm rotating shifts

Our Site in Heanor is the home to our Matthew Walker Christmas puddings and we have an open role for a Day Shift Mezz Operator, working Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (6-2 or 6.30-2.30 or 7-3 or 7.30-3.30)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all the ingredients are mixed to the product specifications as per the daily plan.
  • Ensure that all the standard operating procedures, work instructions and escalation processes for raw materials and component parts with regards to quality defects.
  • Ensure all waste materials from the manufacturing processes are disposed of in the correct waste stream.
  • Monitor and drive the standards for the working area to meet or exceed the standards of safety and hygiene.
  • Complete all actions raised from the GMP, and Health and Safety audit within the agreed time.
  • Responsible for own output and quality to agreed levels, producing according to specification.
  • Responsible for reporting defects and potential defects in all equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining all paper records and IFS transactions as required.

Qualifications

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Previous Food Production experience
  • Good understanding of IFS system.
  • Good understanding of CCPs on Mezz.
  • Good level of Numeracy (L1 equivalent)

Qualities and Experience:

  • Good organisational skills, prioritisation of own workload.
  • Good awareness of allergens in line with HACCP risk assessment.
  • Good experience of right first-time checks.
